Sichere Jugendfreizeiten trotz Pandemie – das Pionierprojekt vom Sommer 2020
Bereits im Sommer 2020 entwickelten wir gemeinsam mit dem Wissenschafts-Cluster BioLAGO e.V. und mit dem Kreisverband Stuttgart des Südwestdeutschen EC (Entschieden für Christus)-Verbandes das wissenschaftliche Pilotprojekt „Sichere Jugendfreizeiten trotz Pandemie“
Das Sicherheitskonzept für drei aufeinanderfolgende Zeltlager mit insgesamt 557 Teilnehmern und Mitarbeitern im August 2020 basierte auf SARS-CoV-2 Testungen (gepoolte PCR-Tests) bei Ankunft im Lager und weiteren flankierenden Hygiene- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen.
Das Pilotprojekt wurde ergänzt und wissenschaftlich begleitet durch eine Feldstudie. Eine Online-Befragungen von Eltern, Teens, Mitarbeitern der EC-Zeltlager und unbeteiligte Mitarbeitern SW-Deutschlands erbrachte 840 Antwortsätze, die zusätzliche wertvolle Einblicke erbrachte.
Im Mai 2021 ließ das Sozialministerium während einer kleineren Jugendfreizeit ein Pilotprojekt durchführen, ob Corona-Tests bei Freizeiten möglich sein könnten, wofür ein „Forschungs“budget von ca. EUR 30.000,- ausgelobt worden war. Das bahnbrechende Ergebnis: Testungen bei Jugendlichen sind möglich!!! Welch eine Verschwendung von Steuermitteln! Der Forschungsbericht scheint – obwohl durch Steuermittel finanziert – unter strengem Verschluss zu liegen.
2021 konnten dann trotz der lange noch unklaren rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen die meisten Jugendfreizeiten wieder stattfinden.
Wir freuen uns, dass wir einen kleinen Teil zu dieser Entwicklung beitragen konnten. Insgesamt ist allerdings der Umgang der Politik mit den Belangen der Jugend während der Pandemie nicht weniger als skandalös. Leider haben sich auch viele Jugendverbände eher als zaghaft erwiesen und nicht durch übermäßige Gegenwehr und mutiges Vertreten der berechtigten Anliegen der Jugend hervorgetan. Möglicherweise war man mit den komplexen Gegebenheiten in einer Pandemie schlichtweg überfordert.
